About
Dr. Diane Grandy - Schultz
Founder & CEO, BrainCore of Northern Minnesota
Dr. Diane Grandy Schultz is a naturopathic doctor, educator, entrepreneur, neurofeedback and biofeedback clinician, and the Founder and CEO of BrainCore of Northern Minnesota. Her life's work is dedicated to helping individuals and families heal the mind, body, and spirit through innovative technologies, holistic health approaches, and education that empowers lasting transformation.
Raised on a cattle farm in the small northern Minnesota town of LaPorte, a community of just over 100 people, Diane learned the values of hard work, perseverance, faith, and service early in life. While she loved her rural upbringing, her journey was far from easy. As a child, she struggled with significant learning challenges that affected her ability to read, spell, and learn in traditional classroom settings. Through determination, the unwavering support of her family, and the extraordinary efforts of her older sister who spent an entire summer teaching her to read, Diane overcame obstacles that once seemed insurmountable.
Despite being told, directly and indirectly, what she could not do, Diane graduated from high school with honors and earned numerous scholarships and awards. Her early dream was to become a nurse, fueled by an enduring desire to help people heal. When the challenges of nursing school led her to seek a different path, she pursued a degree in Culinary Arts and built an international career as a personal chef. Her work took her from Memphis, Tennessee, and Dallas, Texas, to Salzburg, Austria, where she served families from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Although she loved food and hospitality, Diane realized that her true calling was not simply preparing meals but caring for people. Throughout her life she watched loved ones battle serious illnesses, including cancer, while facing her own health struggles with hormone imbalances, chronic pain, obesity, autoimmune challenges, and later Alpha-Gal Syndrome. After years of searching for answers through conventional medical channels, Diane experienced firsthand the frustration of being told, repeatedly, that nothing was wrong when she knew her body was desperately trying to communicate otherwise.
A series of life-changing health crises, including a near-fatal stomach perforation, multiple back surgeries, and years of chronic illness, transformed her understanding of healing. These experiences taught her that true wellness requires addressing not only physical symptoms but also emotional, neurological, energetic, and spiritual aspects of health.
In 2015, Diane faced another profound challenge when her father experienced a severe neurological and mental health decline. Determined not to accept the limitations of a devastating diagnosis, she immersed herself in the study of neurofeedback and brain health. What began as a mission to help her father became a life-changing calling. Through extensive training and clinical experience, she discovered the remarkable potential of neurofeedback and biofeedback technologies to support healing, resilience, and improved brain function.
In 2018, Diane founded BrainCore of Northern Minnesota with a simple but powerful mission: to help families heal. What started as a small practice quickly grew into a comprehensive wellness center serving individuals of all ages. Today, her clinic integrates neurofeedback, biofeedback, red light therapy, nutritional support, wellness education, and other evidence-informed approaches designed to support optimal health and human potential.
Committed to lifelong learning, Diane continued expanding her education while operating her thriving clinic. She ultimately earned her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine, graduating on her father's 80th birthday, a milestone made especially meaningful because he had long outlived the prognosis once given to him.
Today, Dr. Grandy Schultz is recognized for her compassionate approach, her ability to connect deeply with clients and families, and her unwavering belief that healing is possible. She is passionate about helping others discover their purpose, reclaim their health, and step into lives of greater meaning and fulfillment.
At the heart of her work is a message she shares with every client, audience, and community she serves:
You are not your diagnosis. You are not your past. You are not your limitations. You are fearlessly designed to heal.
